Birds of the Prairies...

This is my continued attempt at documenting the disappearing birds of the Midwest. This list of birds, including the Loggerhead Shrike and Common Yellowthroat was compiled with the help of resident biologist Billy at the Driftless National Wildlife Refuge.

What You Eat, What You Are

For nearly 15 years, I farmed vegetables. Of course I needed to create vegetable art! These watercolor/colored pencil works explore the vegetables and anatomy, and how truly connected our bodies are to the food we eat.

River Maps of Summer, 2014

During the summer of 2014, Dani and I went paddling nearly every chance we could get, on all sorts of different rivers. These 8 paintings depict maps of put in and take out spots on various rivers, superimposed on the things we saw while we were out there.
